PROFILE:
Founded in 1973 as a company manufacturing germanium transistors, since 10 years is specialized in the production of detectors for infrared.
The current production is based on germanium pn, pin, APD detectors, and high speed InGaAs pin for telecom applications (till 2.5 GHz), InGaAs APD (available in short time), receivers with preamplifiers, cooled detectors, two colors (Ge/Si or InGaAs/Si). The standard size are from 60 micron to 5 mm dia. Packages are metallic, ceramic, or with fiber optic pigtail.
Recently it has been introduced a line of InGaAs detectors with low intermodulation distortion and low back reflection for forward path and return path CATV applications.
GPD works with a quality system based on MIL-45208 and MIL-S-19500; all the products are tested as the MIL-STD-883, MIL-D-24620.
The InGaAs apply the Bellcore 983.
