PROFILE:
Cambridge Products was founded in 1975 to produce "F" connectors and other screw machine parts for the electronic and communications market place. The origin of the company started as Cambridge Screw Machine of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The original owners were Hi-G and Tridex Corporation. The move to Connecticut in 1975 created the plan to provide high quality U.S. made interconnect products for industry. Cambridge has always been identified as a high level manufacturer with leading edge creative designs, excellent standards and exceptional quality. In 1999 the company was acquired by Emerson Electric Company, and is part of the Emerson Network Power RF Products Group. The core business is high quality electronic RF connectors, plugs, adaptors, tools and other related accessories, plus many new connectors have been added to complete the product breadth. Cambridge sales are to the following markets - Security, Antenna, Broadcast, Sound/Video, Computers, Telecom, Voice/Data, Cable Assemblers and Interconnect Manufacturers. Although they offer their products to high volume EOEMs, Cambridge maintains and supports a world-wide network of Distributors to serve these various markets. Cambridge has developed many variations of connectors, some of which have become industry standards. In addition, they offer many custom designs and welcome the opportunity to create special configurations to suit the design engineers applications.
